• Completed Android Development For Absolute Beginners - YouTube tutorial for developing Android Application and learnt some basic coding techniques on Android Application Development Tutorials.

• Findings / new knowledge gained :
• Learnt to setting up Eclipse with Android SDK
• Some basic XML Programming
• Create Splash Activity once the application is launched along with sound effect
• Create usable button which can link from one page to another page
• Learnt getText() and setText() methods
• Create Menu Button and Toast Information Message display
• Create Scroll View and List View
• Ability to change device wallpaper background
• Learnt to set application into full screen mode and orientation mode either in landscape or portrait
• Learnt to draw vector images on Canvas
• Learnt to draw Bitmap images on SurfaceView Canvas
• Learnt onTouchListener and MotionEvent
• Learnt to draw Spritesheet Animation on Canvas
• Learnt to create a VideoView environment for viewing videos on Android devices and includes MediaControllers such as Play, Pause, Reverse and Forward Buttons to control the video

• Approached supervisor to hand up Chapter 3 documentation.
• Time spent : 09/09/2013 to 10/09/2013 (2 days)
• Approach / method : Scheduled a suitable time with supervisor and meet up with supervisor at INTI International College Penang.
  
  

• Received feedback from supervisor to make corrections on the mistakes made for Chapter 3 and add extra points that had been left out on the earlier submission.
  Also, all the extra points had been added and made all the necessary corrections.
• Time spent : 11/09/2013 to 15/09/2013 (5 days)
• Approach / method : Meet up with supervisor at INTI International College Penang.
• Findings / new knowledge gained : Added Non-Functional Requirements under Requirement Analysis part of Chapter 3 : System Analysis and Methodology documentation. Also, added Conclusion to summarize Chapter 3 and include what are the things I had learnt or gained throughout the process of doing Chapter 3 : System Analysis and Methodology documentation.

  Also, completed Chapter 2 : Literature Review documentation.
• Time spent : 28/08/2013 to 03/09/2013 (7 days)
• Findings / new knowledge gained : Perform search on Google Play Store to check out the Recipe Applications available right now and chosen Healthy Recipes - SparkRecipes, Allrecipes.com Dinner Spinner and My Chef Offline - Easy Recipes to be the applications reviewed on.

• Approached supervisor to hand up Chapter 1 & 2 documentation.
• Time spent : 03/09/2013 to 04/09/2013 (2 days)
• Approach / method : Scheduled a suitable time with supervisor and meet up with supervisor at INTI International College Penang.
• Findings / new knowledge gained : Flipped through some seniors' Final Year Project Documentation that found available at INTI International College Penang library to get a better and clearer picture on the documentation's format.

Also, added Synthesis to summarize the Current System Analysis table and adopt most features of the applications reviewed on into my application. Perform Android Technology Analysis and added into Chapter 2 : Literature Review documentation.

  Also, in the progress of completing Chapter 2 : Literature Review documentation.

• Findings / new knowledge gained : Browsed through some website reviews on Recipe Application such as The 4 Best Recipe Apps For Android Phones and 5 Best Recipe Apps For Android. Also, perform search on Google Play Store to check out the Recipe Applications available right now.

• Complete the remaining parts of Chapter 2 : Literature Review documentation, so that able to finish it on time.
