Week 3 Summary

The tasks done this week are as follows :

• Performed some research and analysis on the same or similar Recipe Applications out in the market.
  Also, completed Chapter 2 : Literature Review documentation.
• Time spent : 28/08/2013 to 03/09/2013 (7 days)
• Findings / new knowledge gained : Perform search on Google Play Store to check out the Recipe Applications available right now and chosen Healthy Recipes - SparkRecipes, Allrecipes.com Dinner Spinner and My Chef Offline - Easy Recipes to be the applications reviewed on.

• Approached supervisor to hand up Chapter 1 & 2 documentation.
• Time spent : 03/09/2013 to 04/09/2013 (2 days)
• Approach / method : Scheduled a suitable time with supervisor and meet up with supervisor at INTI International College Penang.
• Findings / new knowledge gained : Flipped through some seniors' Final Year Project Documentation that found available at INTI International College Penang library to get a better and clearer picture on the documentation's format.
  
  

• Received feedback from supervisor to make corrections on the mistakes made for Chapter 1 & 2 and add extra points that had been left out on the earlier submission.
  Also, all the extra points had been added and made all the necessary corrections.
• Time spent : 06/09/2013 to 08/09/2013 (3 days)
• Approach / method : Meet up with supervisor at INTI International College Penang.
• Findings / new knowledge gained : Added Betty Crocker® Mobile Cookbook and Digital Recipe Sidekick as the extra two applications reviewed on that requested by supervisor. Also, added Synthesis to summarize the Current System Analysis table and adopt most features of the applications reviewed on into my application. Perform Android Technology Analysis and added into Chapter 2 : Literature Review documentation.
  
  

• Performed some research and analysis on Chapter 3 : System Analysis and Methodology sample documentations.
  Also, in the progress of completing Chapter 3 : System Analysis and Methodology documentation.
• Time spent : 08/09/2013 to date.
• Approach / method : Go to INTI International College Penang library and flipped through some seniors' Final Year Project Documentation.
• Findings / new knowledge gained : Get a better and clearer picture on Chapter 3 : System Analysis and Methodology documentation's format.

Plans for next week's task are as follows :

• Complete the remaining parts of Chapter 3 : System Analysis and Methodology documentation, so that able to finish it on time.
• Scheduled a suitable time with supervisor to hand up the corrected version of Chapter 1 : Introduction and Chapter 2 : Literature Review documentation. Also, hand up Chapter 3 : System Analysis and Methodology documentation.
• Prepare PowerPoint Slides for Pre Viva Presentation.
• Perform research on Android Application Development Tutorials.
